Melina is an Ecuadorian-American sexuality educator and performer based in Mexico City. She has led workshops for thousands of participants internationally and is committed to building a movement at the intersection of sexuality education, pleasure, and social justice.
Melina holds a degree in political science from Barnard College at Columbia University and a certificate in gender and sexuality studies from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). She has been awarded grants and scholarships by several cultural institutes in Mexico, and was featured in a 2018 National Geographic special on gender rights in Mexico.
In addition to her education work, Melina creates and performs original cabaret about gender and sexuality. She has embarked on grassroots tours internationally and has played venues as diverse as the National Feminist Conference of Mexico and Gay Pride Amsterdam.
